Join RED and Women In Tech Week as we explore some of the common misconceptions about working in tech and how important ethnic and gender diversity is in the tech community in order to have access to different thought processes and problem-solving approaches. This will lead into some of the methods used in UX which require deep empathy and an understanding of a wide variety of people.

Is Web Dev The Right Career For You?

Ever wondered what it takes to be a Web Developer? Tina and Cody will lead a session on why they chose web development and share their thoughts on what you should consider before pursuing a career in coding. We will finish up the session with a short activity to test for the raw skills needed to be a web dev in today's environment.

Women in Tech Toronto: Networking and Panel Discussion

Join us for an evening of networking with women from the Toronto tech community. Enjoy some light snacks, drinks and great conversation before our panel discussion begins at 7:00pm. The panel features women from a number of different roles discussing their journey to tech and experiences thus far. A Q&A session concludes the panel discussion, followed by more opportunities for drinks and networking. Tickets are limited!

Participants will be led through a set of data followed by a quick tutorial on presenting data through various platforms in order to best share the story with team members.
